Chandrakanti Behera is a graduate in Arts who grew up in a difficult household. It was not an ordinary childhood for her. Due to her father’s neurological conditions and being the only child in the family her family relies on her financially and emotionally. She has done multiple odd jobs to support her family. Before becoming an educator, she used to work in a call center. But she always wanted to learn different skills that would help her earn an extra income. And getting trained to become an educator was a huge opportunity for her, because this helped her learn different skills and ways to engage with children. Currently,
Chandrakanti is teaching children from a government primary school. In school, she devotes most of her attention to motivate and help children who fall behind in their studies. Appreciating the initiative, she quoted “I whole-heartedly appreciate this opportunity which enabled me to engage in children’s learning.” She also added, “On a personal level, through continuous training, I am also learning various skills, different teaching methods and effective use of teaching-learning materials. With the tide of time, I am getting increasingly acquainted with this unique education ecosystem and evolving as a better teacher.”
