Subhasmita: Being Introvert to Leader

Subhasmita was an extremely shy and introverted girl. She struggled to make friends and found it difficult to speak up in class. Her parents were worried about her and sought help from our educator.

Our educator Chinmayee helped build confidence and overcome her shyness by using various techniques. She advised her parents to practice role-play exercises to help her learn how to start conversations and interact with others. She was involved in various group activities which involved planning, communicating and problem solving. With Chinmayee’s constant support, Subhasmita began to improve her social etiquettes. She started speaking up more in class and even made a few friends. As she grew more confident, she began to take on more challenging social situations, such as acting as a leader in group exercises, initiate activities in classroom, etc. She has now started sharing her colour pencils, chocolates and books with her friends.

Over time, Subhasmita’s transformation is remarkable. Her grades improved as well and she is no longer afraid to speak up in class.
