Inculcating good values among children

National Education Policy, 2020 says the education system aims to produce engaged, productive, and contributing citizens to build an equitable, inclusive, and plural society. The curriculum and pedagogy must be designed such that students can develop a profound respect for Constitutional values and Fundamental Duties, a sense of national pride, and a conscientious understanding of their duties and responsibilities in a changing world.

In alignment with the vision of NEP 2020, ThinkZone has strived to foster good citizenship among children by encouraging cooperation and sensibleness. Through various programmes and classroom activities, our fellows imbibe values among students that will benefit themselves and their communities.

Environment Day: Across all learning centres, our fellows celebrate environment day, where students are educated about the importance of preserving our natural environment. They learn about the different ways they can conserve resources and how to dispose of waste properly. It was also an opportunity for students to learn about the diverse ecosystems nearby.

National Girl Child Day: Every year, National Girl Child Day is celebrated on the 24th of January to raise awareness about the rights of every girl child. Our fellows commemorate this day to create awareness about girls’ education and the rights that all girls have equal access to quality education in the community. We believe that this day holds a very important role among children.

Nature Conservation Day: World Nature Conservation Day is celebrated every year on the 28th of July to promote the conservation of natural resources. Future generations of our country depend on children. Educating them about the significance of natural resources in our lives can ensure better earth for future generations. Keeping this belief in mind, our fellows celebrate this day with children to teach them the importance of nature conservation.

Apart from these days, our fellows also observe Teachers’ Day, Children’s Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, and birth anniversaries of great leaders to create a sense of pride, patriotism, and responsibility towards our country.
